Camarillo Airport Approach and Procedure Analysis
Exploring Ways to Reduce Aircraft Noise at Camarillo Airport
Background
The Ventura County Department of Airports is conducting an Approach and Procedure Analysis (Study). This Study is a response to community input received during the County’s ongoing Noise Compatibility Study. This new Study focuses on evaluating how aircraft fly into and out of the airport under instrument flight rules, with the goal of identifying possible procedure adjustments that may help reduce aircraft noise. This Study will include technical evaluations, input from aviation experts, public meetings, and coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
